Every March, more than 30,000 music industry professionals descend on Austin, Texas for one week. Labels, sync agents, booking agents, festival programmers, and journalists, all in one place, actively looking for the next artist to sign, book, or write about. That week is SXSW, and applications for the 2027 edition are open right now.
What SXSW Actually Is
South by Southwest isn't a festival you buy a ticket to and hope someone notices you. It's an official showcase system. You apply, a committee reviews your music, and if you're selected, you get a real set on a real stage in front of the exact people who can change your career. - Apply before the fee climbs again. Early submissions also get more attention from reviewers who aren't buried yet
